UNIVERSITY OF CADI AYYAD

University of Cadi Ayyad  is a young university, founded in 1978, which has continued to evolve and confirm its positioning at the national and international level as much by the evolution of its number of students as by the diversification of its training offer. or through research and national and international influence.

Today, Cadi Ayyad University has 13 academic institutions of which 9 are located in Marrakech, 3 institutions in Safi, in Essaouira and a University Center in Kelaa des Sraghna. It therefore covers the new Marrakech-Safi region. 2 new institutions will come to expand our university, namely the Faculty of Arabic Language of Marrakech which will be attached to Cadi Ayyad University and the EST of Kelaa des Sraghna which will be created during next year.

The Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) of Marrakech is among the Top 4 of the best universities in North Africa, according to the "Webometrics Ranking of World Universities", published by "Cybermetrics Lab", a group of research under the Superior Council of Scientific Research (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.

 Pr Naaila Ouazzani is author or co-author of more than 40 publications in indexed impact factor international journals (h-index 20), more than one hundred oral communications in international events and two book chapters. She is also co-authors of four patents in the field of wastewater treatment. Pr Naaila Ouazzani has a deep expertise in wastewater treatment and reuse, such as lagooning, constructed wetland, sand filters, multilayer soil filter, and activated sludge. She had also big experience on the evaluation of water quality and soil and plants analysis. She was involved as a partner in  five research projects funded by the European Commission (INCO-Med, H2020, Eranet Med) since 2000, three projects funded by French bilateral cooperation, one by Belgian cooperation and three projects funded by German cooperation (DAAD, BMBF) and one  by the  Moroccan CNRST /OCP foundation, She was a  Member of research teams in twenty international research projects. She participated to European project evaluation (Africa call and PRIMA call). She supervised  20  doctoral thesis since 1991 and about 30 Master thesis. She was a Chair of 2 International workshops on waste management in Africa and Maghreb countries and a member of scientific and organizing committees of 10 international scientific Conferences. Lecturer in microbiology and water treatment.
